Blowing the trumpet of spring and fighting the war against epidemic and resuming work
----- Foshan Aotong Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. "fight against the epidemic, promote the resumption of work, stabilise production and ensure foreign trade".
The Spring Festival in 2020 was different from previous years, as a sudden epidemic of New Guan Pneumonia ravaged China, disrupting the celebratory rhythm of the whole country, and also disrupting the production plan of Aotong.
Before the Spring Festival, the company's projects in India, Indonesia, Iran and Turkmenistan had not yet been completed, and all the staff abroad had returned to China on January 16 for the Spring Festival. 5 domestic projects such as Haier and Gree had to be installed after the festival, and there were still some follow-up materials and accessories for these projects that had not been processed.
The company was scheduled to start work on February 1, but the development of the epidemic has pushed the date of resumption back again and again. Although the resumption date could not be set for a while, we believe that under the unified leadership of the Party Central Committee headed by Comrade Xi Jinping, we will be able to win this war without smoke and mirrors.
As soon as the Chinese New Year was over, the company held a network meeting, set up a leading group to combat the epidemic prevention and control with Chairman Wang Jing as the leader, and organised online orders for disinfection and medical examination supplies such as masks, disinfectant, sprayers and thermometers in advance to prepare for the resumption of work. 29 January 2019, upon receiving the document from Guangdong Province tentatively scheduled to resume work on 10 February 2020, the leading group to combat the epidemic prevention and control immediately took action. Disinfection supplies were configured in accordance with the government's requirements (see Figure 1) and temporary quarantine areas and isolation rooms were set up (see Figure 2). At that time, it was very difficult to procure extermination supplies and the goods ordered online were either not available for refund or the transportation was interrupted. At a critical time, the Chairman of the Board ignored the treacherous environment and took on the job himself whenever he heard that there were extermination items for sale.
To meet the government's requirements for resumption of work hardware alone is not enough, but also to submit more than a dozen online and paper reports and forms (see Figure 3 and 4), the leadership team tirelessly, repeatedly revised and submitted, and finally obtained verification qualifications.
On 9 February, the government visited the company for verification and, after an afternoon of review, became the first local company to resume work on 10 February.
Passing the verification of the resumption of work is just the beginning. There is still a lot of work to be done in order to do a good job in preventing epidemics and to start work smoothly. The top priorities for the start of work were strictly in line with government requirements to take temperatures, fill in individual daily health information and disinfect the environment as a matter of routine (see Figures 5, 6 and 7).
As work resumed in good time, an order was immediately received for the sheet metal coating of a number of mask production machines, which are currently being processed, thus making a small contribution to the country's efforts to combat the epidemic.
The work was resumed and orders were received, but the final problem was the return of staff to work. At that time, passenger traffic was already at a standstill throughout the country and employees in many places could hardly leave their homes. The epidemic prevention and control team promptly organised for the Chinese New Year staff and local employees to return to work and informed the overseas staff of the resumption of work. The most touching thing was that Zeng Yunhua, the director of the spraying plant, took the mountain path to the railway station to take the train back to the company when the avenue was blocked in his hometown.
With the staff in place in time, production started on the same day, 10 February (see Figures 8 and 9). Three teams of staff rushed to the customer's factories in Yangjiang, Zhongshan and Shunde from 10 to 16 February respectively to repair equipment and ensure that the customer resumed normal production, winning praise from the customer.
With the resumption of work by domestic customers, installation projects have started to move in (see Figures 10 and 11).
Consular visas for foreign sites are temporarily suspended in the countries where they are located due to the epidemic in China, but we are ready to arrange for personnel to go abroad for installation in a timely manner once we start to apply for visas to leave the country, to ensure quality and quantity of work, and to reflect the determination of the Chinese people to overcome the new crown pneumonia, the confidence to revitalise the economy and the great ideal of realising the Belt and Road.
